As a writer, I’ve covered visual culture (art, design, film) and technology for a variety of publications. I’ve had the chance to interview Ai Wei Wei on art and activism for Vox, explore a bunker turned creative hub in the Italian countryside for Artsy, edit a book on the world’s largest handwriting collection for TASCHEN, and even work on an episode of Salt Fat Acid Heat on Netflix.

My writing has been published by Al Jazeera, Vox, Frieze, Flash Art, Artsy, The Slowdown, Highsnobiety, and other publications. As part of Impossible Object, a new small press based in the UK, I’m editing book of conversations on artificial intelligence featuring a range of artists, philosophers, writers, and technology critics.

On the design side of things, I’m the Lead Designer of OpenRefine, an open source tool for working with messy data. Used by data journalists, scientists, librarians and more, the project is funded by Code for Science & Society.

Previously, I led the digital product design team at the Zetkin Foundation, a Sweden-based platform developing digital tools for activism. I’ve collaborated with established publishers, startups, and nonprofits on conducting design research and workshops, designing data visualizations, and all kinds of (mostly digital) prototyping projects. I’m an alumna of the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID), where I completed a masters in 2019.
